Rooftop solar system, is a photovoltaic plant that has it’s pv panels installed on the roof of a building. There are two ways of implementing: “On Grid” and “Off Grid”.

By installing “On-Grid” Rooftop Solar Power Plants, large or small businesses can reduce electricity bills or even generate income through sales of electricity while reducing carbon emissions. In these systems, you have a bi-directional meter that can measure both energy import (from the grid to the consumer) and energy export (from the consumer to the grid).  If your total production is more than what you consumed, then you will get paid by the Distribution Company on a monthly basis.

In “Off Grid” systems, your Solar Power Plant is completely independent and disconnected from the electricity grid and the continous power is sustained through battery storage. This is mostly preferred in remote areas where access to electricity grid is not possible or very costly.
